If I'm backing up my system and Reflect requires formatting the disk, just do it. One other nuisance is being prompted to format each disk. For instance instead of just scrapping everything the program could have called for a new disk and carried on. Given the time that is consumed in this process one would think that there would be some sort of error recovery. It looked like the backup process was all but complete. The second time I got all the way to disk six of six when an error occurred. The log lacked time stamps, so I couldn't tell the stat from the end. I tried to review the log but I could find no error. As I recall the formatting never occurred. In an effort to save time I pre-loaded the disk rather than clicking 'OK'. I think, this may have been due to my jumping the gun. The first time I tried to back up my system in preparation for Win X the second disk got an error.

Perhaps this was the cause for these files to be placed on my C drive.I was using TDK DL DVDs. Today for the first time I verified the image.

Should I delete these files or move them to a different location? I run my images the same as I always do so this is very perplexing why these files suddenly show on my C drive. I classify these files as unknown but one file is telling, the Reflect_Install.log as it indicates throughout instances of Macrium thus why I am asking Macrium support about these files. After running this image I was checking my C drive and noticed files I had not seen before today and I regularly watch my C drive. Today I ran Macrium Reflect to create an image. Here is the message I sent to them earlier today: Unfortunately, Macrium is unable to provide support to our free users. While we believe it’s important every person has the ability to protect their data, we simply don’t have the resources to support the millions of Reflect Free users around the world.
